Tourney time for lacrosse teams: The Hull High School boys and girls varsity lacrosse teams will extend their seasons after qualifying for the Division 4 state tournament. The tournament pairings and game locations will be announced on Saturday, with first round games being scheduled as early as Monday. The girls team capped a successful 14-6 season with a 15-5 win this week over host South Shore VoTech. Grace Grosso, Nina Tiani, and Fallon Ryan each had three goals. Sarah Duran scored her first varsity goal, and other single tallies came from Elly Thomas, Bridget Fleming, Faye Lofgren, Marin Healey, and Georgia Carragher. Amelia Donovan and Lucy Peters turned in strong efforts. Hull will enter the tournament as the Number 20 seed. The boys team finished with a record of 4-14, but strength of schedule earned them enough valuable points to qualify as the Number 27 seed in the tournament field.
Tracking more success: Four members of the Hull High outdoor track team qualified for and competed in the MIAA Division 5 state meet, held on Monday at Weston High School. Matt McCluskey placed fifth in the 100 meters and took home a medal.
