On Saturday, The Hull Lifesaving Museum hosted its first monthly Veterans’ rowing event at the museum’s boathouse. The program is an outgrowth of the ongoing First Friday Veteran’s Meetups held at the museum from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the first Friday of each month. Nearly 40 veterans braved the sub-freezing temperatures, fierce wind and snow, with 20 actually getting out on the water. There were also many volunteers and spectators on hand. Hot coffee, cocoa, and pastries were served to warm up the group. The next monthly rowing date will be announced shortly.
