To the Editor:
This Monday, the town will vote on Article 16, the needed maintenance and restoration of one of, if not the most, significant historical landmarks in the Town of Hull – the water tower on Telegraph Hill.
Earlier this month, there were five storyboards erected at Fort Revere that reflect the history and development of that site. One of them, the one closest to the flagpole facing the tower, gives facts about that tower – its beginnings and its regional, state, and nationwide significance.
Fort Revere is a wonderful place to go for a variety of reasons, but now for the first time ever, there is information about that site, information that should have been made available to the public decades ago.
Go up there, have fun and check out all the storyboards.
