Council on Aging’s trips include
historic sites, shopping, museums
The Hull Council on Aging is sponsoring several trips in the coming weeks, some of which have registration deadlines. Upcoming events include:
JFK Presidential Library & Museum: Thursday, Aug. 4, 10 a.m.
Experience John F. Kennedy’s legacy and impact through original artifacts, films, and interactive displays throughout the museum. A $20 fee includes transportation and entry. Register by Aug. 1.
Hull Lifesaving Museum: Monday, Aug. 8, 1 p.m.
Hear stories and see the lifesaving equipment used by heroic lifesavers who risked everything to save mariners out on the stormy seas. Registration by Aug. 4 is required, half-price admission is $4 (Hull COA pays the other half).
Newport Playhouse & Cabaret: Wednesday, Aug. 17, 8:45 a.m. departure.
Enjoy a buffet lunch and see the light, funny play, “Murder at the Howard Johnson’s,” and a cabaret at the historic Newport Playhouse. Returning at 6 p.m. $119 includes bus and admission. Mask on bus ride and vaccination card for the venue required. Space is limited.
Peabody Essex Museum, Lunch and Shopping: Thursday, Sept. 8, 8:15 a.m. departure.
Tour the Peabody Essex Museum, have lunch at the Village Tavern, and save time for shopping, too! $99 includes admission, lunch, and transportation. Mask on bus ride and vaccination card required.
