To the Editor:
The C Note is aiming to reopen its doors later in July. We are still waiting for response from the town and state to set up dates for inspections before we can even order product or start booking the entertainment. Once we go through inspections, we will act full steam ahead to open as quickly as possible. The club had already been emptied of all product, so we are really starting from scratch – from ordering, booking bands, stocking, servicing the ice machine and walk–in, and so forth.
We have only two more live streams: Saturday, June 12, with The Gratefuls and Saturday, July 10, with Nightshade & Gold (Stevie Nicks tribute). Both fundraisers will run from 7-9 p.m.
We also booked two outdoor events at the Glastonbury Abbey in Hingham, which is generously allowing us to use its beautiful space. For these events, bring your lawn chair and cooler (and please take any trash with you). The first is with The Fat City Band on Saturday, June 26. (Rain date is Sunday, June 27.) We have also reserved Sunday, Aug. 15, with Booty Vortex (10-piece soul, funk, and disco band). (Rain date is Sunday, Aug. 22). Gates open at 5 p.m., and shows run from 5:30-7:30 p.m. with no breaks because we must clear the space before 9 p.m. There are limited tickets left for Fat City, which can be purchased only through our website CNOTEHULL.com. Booty Vortex tickets will be on sale the last week of June. Ticket donation is $50 per person. Bring your own lawn chair and cooler (and please take out your trash).
A big shout-out to Dr Jim Mitterando for spearheading both the Abbey events. Dedham TV will be filming the show to air at a later date.
We also want people to know how much we appreciate Ron Patuto, of Norwell Lobster Express, who donated a $200 gift certificate for one lucky winner. To enter, a donation of $50 can be made to our gofundme page only between the dates of Sunday, June 6, through Friday, June 25, at www. Gofundme.com/f/c-note-benefit-fund.
Just think of the number of lobsters you could purchase for your next outdoor cookout. The winner’s name will be drawn on Sunday morning, June 27, and I will post it online so we can hand-deliver within a day or two.
The C Note cannot express our gratitude enough to everyone who has donated to the gofundme and also to the Rockland Trust C Note Benefit Fund and to all the musicians who have donated their time to run livestreams and also raise funds for the club.
We also want to thank Lindsey Buck for all her efforts raising more funds by selling “Save The C Note T-Shirts” and also The Hull Times and the Patriot Ledger for their support during the last year and a half.
This has been an enormous undertaking, and we are humbled by everyone who wants to bring live music back to our stage. We are extremely excited and cannot wait to welcome back our friends, patrons, and musicians.
