To the Editor:
Every dog is so cute you could just eat them up.
Not so with their owners, as the picture shows. Dog owners wonder why there are so many restrictions on where they can take their dogs in town. How about your backyard and not the town’s playgrounds, fields, parks, beaches, the lawn at town hall, and other such places?
There’s a very good reason, just look at the picture. Any volunteers to empty that 55-gallon drum of poop? It is actually a hazardous waste site now, given the quantity.
Don’t give me the common excuse that it’s only a few bad owners. Really? Fifty-five gallons worth is more than a few bad owners. Go by any barrel or dumpster that is out for more than a day and it will have poop bags in it. Not to mention flowerpots, picnic tables, and any large bush that isn’t on their property.
Time to clean up your act, you careless dog owners. You’re not as cute as your dogs, and you’re embarrassing them.
