If you are searching for a sure sign of spring, then look no further than the front lawn of the Paragon Carousel, which opens for the 2022 season this Saturday.
The Easter weekend festivities kick off on Saturday, April 16, with photos with the Easter Bunny from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A $10 donation is requested to support the Carousel.
On Sunday, April 17, the traditional Easter Egg Hunt begins at 12:30 p.m., with 5,000 eggs hidden on the lawn.
The Carousel will be operating both days so you and your family members can take your first ride of the season between 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The Carousel’s opening is in keeping with the tradition of Paragon Park, which started each season on Easter weekend. The 66-horse Philadelphia Toboggan Company carousel was custom-built for Paragon in 1928, and was relocated to its current site when the park closed after the 1984 season.
Weekend hours of operation begin on April 23 and 24, with the Carousel open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
