A 32-year-old man was arrested in Hull on Monday and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of heroin, according to Hull Police Chief John Dunn.
Dunn said Joseph Muzzi of Somerville was arraigned this week in Hingham District Court on charges of Possession of a Class A Drug (Heroin) and Trafficking Methamphetamine Over 18 Grams.
At 12:45 p.m. on Monday, Hull Police received a report that a man who was evicted from a home on Nantasket Avenue earlier that morning had returned and allegedly was breaking bottles. It was also alleged that he carried a knife.
Officers saw broken glass on the ground and questioned Muzzi. They did not see any property damage but searched Muzzi and found a knife. During the search, he allegedly refused to take his hands out of his front pocket. When he did, officers observed two small glassine bags that were believed to contain substances consistent with heroin and methamphetamines.
Muzzi tried to run away but was stopped and arrested by the officers.
