To the Editor:
I would like to thank the town of Hull for an unexpected, albeit beyond amazing, July 4th-5th celebration. This was my first summer and Independence Day here in the 02045 zip code, and, once again, the people of Hull did not disappoint.
I was taking my usual walk on Allerton Hill, having no expectations, and then bam! We had the most spectacular fireworks show ever over the raging beautiful Atlantic Ocean.
I even lost my cell phone amid the thrills, and a wonderful group of young ladies made sure that I got my phone back.
I will suggest that the show, spanning the entire beach, beats the likes of many celebrations I have attended in Boston and New York City.
I would also like to give a special thank you to Maria of Nantasket Sweets. She pulled together some tremendous party favors (for me to bring to various events) that were fun, festive, local, apropos, and made fresh from her Swedish heart with only two days’ notice.
Yet more examples of how grateful I am to be a part of this generous community.
Thank you all, again, for all that you do to make magnificent Hull, Massachusetts, and the world a better place.
