To the Editor:The Hull Lifesaving Museum’s Harbor Illumination event was a huge success this year. That success was due in larger part to the support we received from the Select Board, Town Manager Phil Lemnios, Police Chief Jack Dunn, Fire Chief Chris Russo, Harbormaster Kurt Bornheim, and Public Works Director Chris Gardner; also lending their support were their collective staffs, personnel from the Point Allerton Coast Guard station, and state Rep. Joan Meschino.
Additionally, it is important to thank the more than 100 volunteers who helped light the 1,000-plus flares, sell sponsorships around town, and assist with all the other elements that make an event successful.
Finally, we, thank our financial sponsors: Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, Woodward and Curran, Save the Harbor Save the Bay, Rotary Club of Nantasket-Hull, Hull-Nantasket Chamber of Commerce, National Grid, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
