Darvence Chery
Hull Times reporter Darvence Chery will graduate from Eastern Nazarene College this January. He will be receiving his bachelor of arts degree in journalism and writing. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it is unlikely there will be a commencement ceremony.
Beginning in April, Chery started working at the Times and has proven to be a valuable asset. After receiving his B.A. degree, he will write for his hometown newspaper, The Enterprise of Brockton, and will continue to contribute to the Times.
While in school, Chery has written for and edited his school newspaper, the Veritas News. He worked at multiple publications before coming across The Hull Times in an online ad on the New England Newspaper Association website.
Chery says he has enjoyed the past five years at Eastern Nazarene College and would recommend the school to any prospective college student who is seeking a faith-based education with a loving community.
