To the Editor:
On behalf of the Hull Village Association, thank you to everyone who turned out after the Memorial Day parade and ceremony for our field picnic at the Village green! We had more than 300 people in attendance. Thanks to our chefs Sean and Elaina Baggett, Irena and Martin Devy, Nan Doyle, and Rob Goldstein for donating and dishing dozens of free hot dogs, veggie burgers, chicken dogs, chips, watermelon, candy and more; young Matt and his buddies for setting up their drink and candy stand; Sherman Whipple, Through Me To You Puppetry and friends for keeping everyone entertained with live music and a show; St. Nicholas Church for hosting with chairs, tables, and use of Gould Hall bathrooms; the Hull Fire Department for handing out sodas and ice cream; Jason McCann and Bob Pahl for hosting the Village Association table; Amy Hyde and family for the free face painting; and Jen and Chris Lofgren for the decorations and organizing fun field games for the kids. It really did take a Village of neighbors willing to donate time and goods for a fun and sunny community event.
If you’re interested in getting involved with the Village Association and/or want to make a donation to support our future events, please go to hullvillage.net. Thank you!
