Craig Wolfe, organizer extraordinaire, was thrilled with the “epic” Spring Forward Dinner event last Sunday that provided more than 600 free ham dinners with all the fixings that were prepared, plated, packaged, and delivered to hundreds of households in just two hours. More than 100 volunteers of adults and students from Hull, Hingham, and Cohasset pitched in with dinner duties while 25 adults and children (three generations of Hull families) decorated cupcakes to accompany the meals. Daddy’s Beach Club owner Jeff Lemkin provided the staging venue and powered up their oven to cook up more than 1,000 pounds of ham. Parrot owner Brian Houlihan prepared hundreds of pounds of vegetables and macaroni and cheese. Along with the ham dinner, recipients also received a full bag of pantry staples and Stretch Your Food Budget meal kits. The hams and vegetables were provided by the South Shore Community Action Council. Pictured here waving in Daddy’s driveway are (from left) Kim Wolfe Greaves, Craig Wolfe, and Susan Bryant.
