After a two-year hiatus, the Hampton Circle Playground Fourth of July Parade will be held this year on Monday, July 4 at 10 a.m. at the Lt. Joseph D. McLaughlin Playground on Moreland Avenue.
Face painting will be offered starting at 9:30 a.m. and ending promptly at 9:55 a.m.
Following the pledge of allegiance to the flag, singing of the national anthem, and a few words from Dan Gaffney, parade chairman, everyone is invited to assemble on Moreland Avenue to follow the flag bearers around Hampton Circle and return to the playground for the folding of the flag.
We ask those able walk to join us in the walking around Hampton Circle. We look forward to waving to all who come out to cheer us on.
Any ideas for additions to the parade are welcome. Call 508-889-2278 or 508-886-4039 to discuss your ideas.
Remember to wear your red, white, and blue, and bring your flags.
We have missed you all and look forward to seeing everyone. Come to the park early and reunite with your friends.
