On Saturday night, Aug. 28, Temple Israel of Nantasket will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the dedication of this wonderful building.
Details are still being worked out, but we plan to celebrate this milestone event at around 8 p.m. with brief services and dessert, coffee, wine, and beer.
The event will take place in the tent set up next to the temple on Hadassah Way, but we need your help to make it a great event. To do this, the 100th Anniversary Committee is looking for your stories and memories of Temple Israel as we prepare to document not only the beginning of the story, but what has happened all the years since.
Therefore, we are asking that you send us your stories, your photos, and your memories so that we can include some of them in our history. You can send your materials to Steven Greenberg, 23 T St., Hull, MA, or email him at steven@resourceful.com or call him at 508-314-4777.
Additional information on tickets and the commemorative booklet will be provided soon.
We appreciate your assistance in this history- gathering event and look forward to hearing some wonderful stories.
