To the Editor:
Monday started out great at the Kenberma beach; my husband and two grandchildren were all enjoying the sun and surf.
I was sitting in my lawn chair, and, without any warning, the sun seemed to overtake me, and I slipped from my chair and became very disoriented. Before I knew it, I was surrounded by a large group of angels who moments earlier had been enjoying the beach and were unknown to me.
These angels all were neighbors and beachgoers who came to my rescue, applying cold compresses and towels and made a shaded area.
The Hingham EMTs were extraordinary. After more than three hours of a battery of tests and drawing of blood, I was cleared to go home.
I would like a say a very large thank-you to all the people on our beach who took time to get involved and come to my aid – from the first responders to the men and women on the beach. I was unable to get the names of these people, but I owe you all a debt of gratitude, including Bree Brazil who took the time to collect all our beach chairs and the children’s beach toys and delivered them back to our house.
My sincere and heartfelt thanks to all.
