A new, all-volunteer nonprofit organization that aims to promote public use of Nantasket Beach is seeking members.
Friends of Nantasket Beach is an IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that is intended to focus on the Nantasket Beach Reservation and develop and promote programming and events, improve accessibility, increase awareness of current and proposed activities, enhance recreational activities, develop ideas for lifestyle and environmental promotion, as well as to enhance dining and explore alternate transportation options.
In order to tackle this long list of goals, the group needs the public’s support. A donation at any level will be put to good use to meet these goals. All members will receive a Friends of Nantasket Beach bumper sticker to help show their Nantasket pride and support of the Friends of Nantasket Beach.
The group’s membership levels begin with Friend of Nantasket Beach ($25) and feature Paragon Pride ($50), Fantastic Nantasket ($100), Super Friend Supporter ($200), or the It Takes a Village level, which encompasses other donation amounts. There is also is an option for a Business Membership for $500.
All funds received from donations will be used for administrative costs and expenses to support public programs, stewardship initiatives, and quality-of-life and environmental issues related to the Nantasket Beach Reservation.
