This week Hull Seaside Animal Rescue would like to introduce you to Opal. This young mother was found under a porch with three of her kittens. She is about 1½ years of age, with a white and tiger coat. Her eyes are mesmerizing and give the appearance that she is wearing mascara, bringing out her bright green eyes.
Opal is a bit shy, and understandably so. But she is doing much better, thanks to our volunteers who have been working with her to build trust with humans. She is very treats-motivated and will eat them right from your hand.
In her short time at the shelter, the progress she has made leaves no doubt that she will be a lovely companion in her new home for years to come. She will need a quiet home without small children to fully come out of her shell.
If you are interested in meeting Opal or other feline residents, you can call our adoption coordinator at 781-534-4902. Visiting hours are open to adopters on Monday, from 6-7 p.m., and Saturday, from 2-3 p.m. For the safety of our volunteers, we ask that you wear a mask inside the shelter if you are not fully vaccinated. The shelter is located at 487 Nantasket Ave. For more information, visit us online at www.hsar.org.
If you have a couple of hours per week and want to volunteer at HSAR, we have some rewarding opportunities. If you would like to help out, please call 781-925-3121 for more information.
