With the end of the school year for high school seniors quickly approaching, plans are in the works to recognize students with congratulatory banners on utility poles along Nantasket Avenue.
The 24×40, double-sided banners feature a photo and the student’s name, and are available to graduating high school seniors who live in Hull regardless of the high school they attend. The cost is $55 and the company producing the banners, DGI Invisuals, is a Massachusetts company that manufactured them in the past.
Payment for a banner can be sent to Rachael Sordillo through Venmo (@rachael-sordillo) or families who do not use the Venmo payment app can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to make other arrangements.
Parents can use this link to upload a photo: https://sendfiles.dgicommunications.com/requests/sMFfTPqBCluzVUVYDzepEk
In the message section of the form at this link, enter “Hull,” the child’s name and the high school they attend. Larger photo files will produce better results when printed on the banner. If the graduating senior is older than 18, they will have to email their consent to have their photo used to the address above.
Anyone who would like to make a donation to offset the cost of this fun tradition for Hull families can use the Venmo link above and mention that it is a donation for the banners (to indicate that your payment is not linked to a specific student). Donors who do not use Venmo can e-mail email@example.com to make alternate payment arrangements.
