To the Editor:
Please print the Town of Hull Restricted Area Parking Regulations 2021.
After “I” was reported to the Hull Police Department a few times recently for my husband parking his vehicle a few feet over our property line on the public roadway, I was helpfully instructed on how to obtain a copy of the town-wide parking restrictions. I appreciate the opportunity my husband was given to move his vehicle forward 2 feet without being written a $100 parking ticket, as we had no idea that every street in town has restricted parking.
We are hoping the Times might publish the restricted parking regulations and/or the town might include a flyer to all residents in one of the utility bills. We were unaware, and have spoken to other residents who are unaware, that all residents parking on the streets of Hull must purchase a restricted parking sticker (same as for residential lots) and that all public roadways are restricted indefinitely.
Also, residents are only allowed to park within their property line on the public roadway. I was informed that town-wide restrictions are due to COVID-19.
