To the Editor:
We are excited to announce our grand reopening of The C Note (at 159 Nantasket Ave., Hull) on Friday Aug. 13. It has been nearly 17 months that The C Note has been shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We were humbled by the generous donations of patrons and fans of live music to keep us going to this point. We are especially grateful to the musicians and bands who donated their time and stepped up to the plate to raise more funds with livestreams and a few outdoor events at the Glastonbury Abbey in Hingham. (A special thanks to Jim Mitterando for organizing these outdoor events.)
The C Note doors open at 8 p.m. for shows at 9 p.m. every Friday and Saturday unless otherwise posted. Our weekend lineup for August will be:
Friday, Aug. 13 – Mojomama (doors open 7:30, show time at 8:30)
Saturday, Aug. 14 – Soul Box
Sunday, Aug. 15 – Outdoor event with Booty Vortex at the Glastonbury Abbey in Hingham (gate opens at 4 p.m., show time at 5:30-7:30 (rain date is Sunday. Aug. 22)
This is our final push to raise more funds to get us ahead of the game. Tickets can be purchased only online at www.cnotehull.com and must be presented at the gate.
Friday, Aug. 20 – The Alloys (with Lindsey Buck) and The Brave Noise
Saturday, Aug. 21 – Assisted Living with special guests
Friday, Aug. 27 – Doc Ellis Band
Saturday, Aug. 28 – The Gratefuls
Thank you to everyone who has made a donation; we could not have made it this far without a little help from our friends. As you can probably imagine, we are scrambling to get things in place – from getting all product in, cleaning, booking bands, etc. It is a tremendous amount of work to reopen after being shut down for so long. We are starting over from the very beginning, so please be patient with us until we get things back on smooth rails.
