To the Editor:
While the vaccine rollout in Massachusetts has been, and continues to be, confusing at best, it is important to recognize when things are done right.
In that spirit, I would like to thank Joyce Sullivan, public health director, and the staff of the Hull Board of Health. I was fortunate to get my first and second doses here in Hull at the bathhouse. The signup for the first shot, on the town’s website, went smoothly without all the confusion and frustration experienced on other signup sites. When it was time for my second shot, I received an email with the signup information, and that went smoothly as well. The folks who staffed the vaccination site were friendly and professional and kept the process running very smoothly.
It seems that we are always quick to complain and point out when things don’t go well and then merely accept when they do. Now that I have received both shots, I am still cautious and wear a mask when out in public, but the vaccination has given me the sense that we may be returning to some semblance of normalcy – whatever that is.
