William T. Galligan, of Hull, died June 2 at the Harbor House in Hingham. He was 84.
Born and raised in Boston, he graduated from Cathedral High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked as a highway contractor for the city of Boston where he was a member of AFSCME Union Local No. 93 in Boston.
Bill was a staunch supporter of the ARC and VinFen, was an avid Boston sports fan, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 4865 in Hull.
He was the beloved husband of the late Philomena M. (Naughton) and the father of Lisa M. Galligan, of Oregon; Paul J. Galligan, of Weymouth; John P. Galligan, of Hull; and the late William C. and Mary Kathleen Galligan. He was the brother of the late Edward and John Galligan.
Funeral services were held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home in Milton on Monday. morning at 11:30 am. Visiting hour prior to the service Monday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 am. Burial was in Mount Benedict Cemetery.
