Both the Hull United Youth Soccer and Hull Youth Lacrosse players will have opportunities to develop their skills with special clinics coming up. The boys’ varsity soccer team will host a Kick or Treat youth soccer Skills and Drills Clinic and Three-on-Three tournament on Sunday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hull High School. The clinic is open to all youth players and teams (including out-of-towners) in grades three to eight. There will also be a penalty kick contest and a Hull-O-ween bake sale.
Cost per player is $5, and cost per team for the 3 v 3 tournament is $25. Teams must pre-register. All event proceeds will benefit the Hull High School boys’ soccer program.

Hull Youth Lacrosse has been awarded a grant as a host city for the Pick Up and Play Lacrosse Clinic. Hull was one of four programs selected in New England. The Hull clinic is open to ages 6-14 and will be open on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 2-4 p.m. at Hull High School. Equipment will be available to use at the clinic, and all participants will receive a USA Lacrosse pinnie. You can register at usalacrosse.com/celebrate.
Football team falls to Falcons
The varsity football team’s three-game win streak was stopped in Mashpee on Friday night as the host Falcons pulled away late in the game to hand Hull (3-2) a 30-6 defeat.
John Gianibas scored Hull’s only touchdown on a 3-yard run and finished the game with 83 yards on 15 carries. Hull hung tough with the favored Falcons, trailing only 8-0 at halftime and 16-6 in the fourth quarter.
The Pirates visit Carver High School for a 6 p.m. kickoff on Friday evening.
Emma Ryan Memorial Soccer Game
The annual EM20 Game will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 19, when the Hull High School girls’ varsity soccer team will host Rockland at 4 p.m.
T-shirts, a 50/50 raffle, and a snack bar will be among the offerings, with all proceeds to benefit the Emma Ryan Scholarship Fund.
There will also be a Hull Youth Soccer exhibition game during halftime.
Youth Basketball annual meetup
The Pirate Youth Basketball annual meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m., at the high school’s Exhibition Room. Volunteers are needed for all positions.

Hull of Fame
The fourth Hull High Athletic Hall of Fame inductees will be honored on Saturday, Nov. 27, at the South Shore Country Club in Hingham and will also be recognized during the Thanksgiving football game on Nov. 25. The Hall of Fame committee will also have a meat raffle fundraiser at the Cathay Center in Weymouth on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 4:30-7 p.m.
